Discovering the Magic of Paris and Beyond: Unforgettable Day Trips to Take from the City of Love

I absolutely fell in love with the rich culture, history, and beauty of France. From the iconic Eiffel Tower to the stunning beaches of the riviera, France is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. If you’re planning a trip to France, here are some tips to help you make the most of your visit.

Learn some French

While many people in France speak English, it’s always appreciated if you make an effort to speak some French. Learning a few basic phrases like “bonjour” (hello), “merci” (thank you), and “au revoir” (goodbye) can go a long way in making a good impression. 👍

Be mindful of cultural differences

France has a different culture and customs than what you may be used to, so it’s important to be mindful of these differences. For example, it’s considered impolite to eat on the go in France, so take the time to sit down and enjoy your meal. Additionally, tipping is not as common in France as it is in other countries, so don’t feel obligated to leave a large tip. You’ll also have to physically ask for the check. In France, it is rude for the restaurant to bring it before you ask 😉.

And onto the BEST part when you’re in France, the wonderful restaurants. Here are some of the must-visit restaurants!

  • Frenchie’s is a fantastic restaurant that offers an amazing 3-course menu and boasts a Michelin star. To ensure you get a chance to try their delicious food, make sure to set a reminder to book your reservation online three weeks in advance.
  • For a more upscale dining experience, Guy Savoy is the perfect spot. With three Michelin stars, this restaurant offers beautiful views overlooking the Seine, along with amazing food and service.
  • If you have a sweet tooth, Angelina’s is a must-visit for their decadent hot chocolate and dessert. You won’t be disappointed with their delicious offerings.
  • For cheese lovers, Laurent Dubois fromagerie is a small but world-renowned shop that you can’t miss. They offer samples of their delicious cheese and even vacuum pack them for you to take home.
  • Lastly, Charcuterie Saint Germain is also worth a visit for their top-notch cured meats. You can find this gem at 47 Boulevard Saint-Germain 75005.

Remember to book your reservations in advance to make sure you don’t miss out on these fantastic dining experiences!!
